Summer break has been great and all but already I can feel myself looking for something to do, and I have only been out of school for not even a week. Don't get me wrong I have been keeping myself busy (have you noticed the new blog layout?), but now that almost everyone has flocked away to their summer retreats, I figured the best way to keep myself entertained is to read a few good reads. I have a list next to my bed of all sorts of books I've wanted to read for the longest time, whether I've seen them while wandering around Barnes & Noble or come across them while surfing the web. So I'm going to jump on this list and get reading! Just last week I picked up the book Eleanor & Park in the bookstore and then I saw it again yesterday on Buzzfeed's list: 17 Books to Read if You Liked The Fault in our Stars , so I knew this book was one I had to read.
"Set over the course of one school year in 1986, this is the story of two star-crossed misfits—smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. When Eleanor meets Park, you’ll remember your own first love—and just how hard it pulled you under." -Amazon
“Eleanor & Park reminded me not just what it’s like to be young and in love with a girl, but also what it’s like to be young and in love with a book.” -John Green (I mean if he says it's good...)
I'm excited to get my hands on this book, it sounds simply perfect and I'm pretty sure I'm going to fall in love with it!
Love,
Natalie
